The cartridge contains alkalising media housed within a durable hard case. As water passes through the media, its mineral balance and pH are adjusted, with a potential output of up to pH 9.2 depending on the incoming water quality, flow rate and condition of the cartridge.

It can be used after reverse osmosis or other suitable filtration stages where remineralisation and pH adjustment are required.
